We need VolunteerS at REDLANDS RUGBY LEAGUE

There has never been a more important time to help get community rugby league back up and running again and that’s why we’re asking everyone to play their part to unite and assist at their local club as volunteers.

It is a requirement of the Redlands Rugby League that "ALL" volunteers must have a valid QLD Working With Children Check before registering as a rugby league volunteer.  Regardless of whether you are a close relative of a participant or not, you still require a clearance:

GROUND MANAGER

All managers must be registered with their local club under the Volunteer member type, which is selectable at the beginning of the club registration form. Registrations are completed online through playrugbyleague.com.

If you experience any issues whilst trying to complete your registration, the NRL have provided support resources and guides available.

Where can I learn how to be a Ground Manager?
QRL in conjunction with the NRL Education team have developed an online Ground Manager's Handbook, which is designed to give volunteers a head start on their appointment as a Ground Manager at their Club.  It contains QRL specific content including scenarios, training, tips and links to commonly used resources and documents for the role of Ground Manager.

What are my responsibilities as a Ground Manager?
The primary responsibilities of a ground manager are:
- To check playing surface and facilities are safe for play and meet minimum requirements.
- Ensure all game day equipment is ready prior to commencement of the first match.
- First Responders are in attendance and hold the relevant accreditations as outlined in the NRL On-field Policy.
- Support Match Officials and control spectators.
- Manage Game Day operations to ensure fixtures remain on schedule.
